A WebQuest can also be created using a word
processing program like Microsoft Word.
Check out these examples made by student teachers.
Here is a WebQuest working draft to help you plan.
The following are instructions for using Microsoft Word
2001 for Mac. These will vary slightly depending on version and platform.
1. To insert an image, simply go to the INSERT menu and choose Picture from File.
You will have to save the image first, but you already
know how to hold your mouse down (or right click) on any image on the web and
save it into
your folder.
You can also insert a clip art image from the Word program
itself by going to the INSERT menu and choosing Clip Art.
(These images will vary according to the version of Word
that you have)
2. To create a link, type the words you want viewers
to click on, e.g.,
Voici un bon site sur le tourisme!
Highlight the words and go to the INSERT menu, choose
Hyperlink.
It will ask you the URL to which you wish to link (http://www.tourisme-canada.com).
Don’t forget http://
The rest (creating good tasks & projects for visitors to
your prearranged sites) is up to you!
If you're using a PC or an older version of Word, the
menu titles may vary somewhat.
Just check under the HELP menu to find “Insert Picture”
and “Hyperlink”. That’s all you really need to know.
