![]() Adrienne Boulton-Funke - Secondary Art I have taught Visual Art in an art gallery and elementary, middle years, and secondary schools in Saskatchewan and BC for 15 years. I will finish my MA in Art Education in 2009 and will start the PhD program this September. The greatest joys in my life come from my family and from teaching. Outside of that, my interests include traveling, kayaking, playing slow pitch, and camping, although these are generally set aside by research and course work. My research interests are primarily examining teacher practice and student learning in Visual Art and the impact of educational reforms on Visual Art in schools. I want to reinvigorate my art practice in ceramics, and I will when I figure out how to insert 10 more hours into a day |

I am a graduate of UBC.several times over, and an alumni of the twelve month education degree program. My wife Kim is a teacher in Richmond, and my daughter Teresa is an accomplished horseback rider. I thoroughly enjoy living in the balance point between theory and practice that this appointment affords me. My passions are defined by some of the things I like to hold in my hands: a kayak paddle, a hiking stick, a passport, a rock hammer, and the handlebars of a big, black motorcycle. |
![]() Eric Hanson - Secondary Science Eric is in his third season with PoT after a 33 year career in Richmond, teaching chemistry, biology and general science, as well as history and socials. ![]() Denise LaPrairie - FAME I began my teaching career in the coalmine town of Tumbler Ridge. After exhausting my finances replacing extension cords to feed my car heater, I decided to seek a teaching position in North Vancouver where I have taught and coached for 18 years. This is my second year as an FA for the FAME cohort and I really enjoy teaching POT and COMM with my colleague Janice Choy. My spare time is spent with my family and living the ordinary with my partner, Jennifer. My favorite destinations have so far been to the beaches of Tofino and Haida Gwaii.
